SD 09/11/04 - "Do you Believe in Magic? #3" aka "Halfpipe Returns" Well, here we are at the seers, minus Lynx & Tarra, whom wanted to ... discuss "cultural" matters with Lucin. Lott's still on the ship, trying to deal with the computer.

I finally got Lucin to tell me where the seer was, but his attention was all on Lynx and Tarra who were getting fresher than fresh with him. Maybe it's my imagination, but I swear in this Caitian body I can practicaly smell the ... intentions. Perhaps I'm wrong, but maybe I need to have a chat with Lynx after we're on our way. Has she really given up on Dammers?

The three of them went their way, teleported out, and I went mine. The group had split up in this area of small shops, but Lera commed me, and we met at the seers. So did Orlan, who went up to test his Junk form's wings. Lera had been doing quite a bit of shopping. She had gotten a Renissance-style dress to match the locals, and had a sack filled with a number of objects. She told me she had something that would cure the Junk curse. Although Lucin told us he'd take care of it when it was time to leave, he does seem a little distractable, so this is some useful insurace.

The three of us went in, Cosmo Ennin and Kura coming in less than a minute after us. We saw a woman dressed like a gypsy. She was sitting down with what looked like a small dog, Yorkshire terrier, on her lap. On seeing me, the pup promptly jumped down and trotted over to me. I gave no real notice to it at first, and simply gave it a pat. The seer paid no real attention to Kura, let alone Orlan. I guess some people here voulantarily take on forms much less human-looking than Lucin's. Curiously enough, it was the others who were afraid of the little dog. Kura, big as (s)he was, kept backing away, "Evil puppy!" The sight of a huge tigres backing away from a Yorkie was an amusing distraction. Lera seemed to be justifying his/her feelings, "Dogs eat people ... especially poodles." She lightened up after Orlan made some remark, which got it to urinate on him.

On the seer bringing up the subject of money, I reflexively reached into my pocket before remembering this place didn't take Federation credits. But I found something odd, and pulled it up. It was a small pouch full of silver coins, with a note from Lucin saying he had gotten this out of my account! Well intentioned, but I'm not so sure about his slippery method. The seer had me stare at a crystal ball for a while. I assumed this was about the missing persons, and I concentrated thinking about them as much as I could.

The seer was vauge, but mentioned I "would soon be meeting up" with one of our seperated freinds soon. I wonder which one she means?

That little dog keeps scratching at my leg. What the hey does it want?
