SD 05/21/05 - "Plug it in, plug it in" aka "The Wrath of Ironbottom #15" - It's been only a few minutes since my last entry, but with every second counting, the waiting is making me anxious and jittery.
As this is being entered, Seven of Elleven and several other BoReD are connecting their slipstream drive to the "Gutter's" main warp engine. Lott is helping them out. Half is supposed to be supervising things. Tarra is supposed to be keeping an eye on the BoReD to make sure they don't pull anything. From what I've been hearing, however, they might not be as much a potential threat as I thought. I heard someone say one stuck his finger into an electrical socket, and gained the nickname "Twitchy." Tarra rushed in running, and colided with him, adding further insult to injury.
On the other hand, if they're truly genuine about helping us, will they be just as klutzy fighting the enemy.
Also been hearing more about observations of the BoReD, notably Seven of Eleven, whom seems to have empathy for the New Caitians. His "humanity" for the lack of a better word coming back, thinking in terms of helping a larger "Collective," or perhaps something of both?
Lera's still over on the Ferrengi ship "supervising" Lt. Droolin. Knowing those two, the nature of this "supervision" is of the kind that can't be mentioned in a family-friendly PADD file. Oh well, at least they're out of our hair.
Just got word it's done! At last!
