SD 06/05/04 - "Counseling Gone Wrong, Killer Starfish, and Belting Droolin" With our supplies gone, that means using the replicator to make them, which is more paperwork for me. With the constant malfunctions, it turns into ordering programers to deal with the latest ones, more paperwork. Then there are the accident reports: more paperwork.
Maybe it should be called PADDwork, as it usually comes in those datapads, but the results are still the same. So Instead of the piles of papers in those old catroons, I have piles of PADDs on my desk. And in fact, some of it these days is truly paperwork as some people's PADDs aren't working. Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork, there's just no end to it!
I'm hardly the only one with problems. I've gotten a buliten telling me the ex-shapeshifter Kura did some invoulantary shifting, into the form of a tiger. He can still talk, but no opposable thumbs. He's currently in Medical after a mishap with gravity controls caused him to float, fall, and break his leg, getting him a trip to the bone-knitter in Medical. I heard something about it invoving a "furby with a cigar" and an animated jello starfish. Odd.
There's also a rumor floating around, people saying that lecher Droolin was beaten and invoulantarily fitted with a chastity belt. Although I thought I heard Lynx's & Droolin's voices coming from the holodeck, it was probably a group of girls who had enough of his antics. Although I could step in and ask him, and tell someone to remove it, I think I'll stay out of this one. I have better things to do with my time, and I do find it mildly amusing.
I still keep thinking of Lynx & Dammers. When are they going to have their wedding? Surely they don't want to wait until she starts to "show." That's going to leave an impression on their wedding pictures. Well, I'll make a note to talk to them about it later ...
Lera just beeped me, and then Lynx, interested in another apointment. It sounds like Lynx was sleeping, but agreed. Hmm ... Lynx didn't get mad at Lera? Maybe that accident in Lera's room made Lynx cool her temper towards her. It's good to see they're getting along again. Let's hope it lasts this time.
Still, there's something about it that makes me slightly uneasy, two who are usually antagonists cooperating to the same end. Guess I'll see how it turns out.
